Creating an account is easy! Click the "Get Started" button, enter your email address, create a password, and verify your email. You'll then need to complete your profile by adding your personal information, uploading your ID, and verifying your driver's license. The entire process takes about 5-10 minutes.

YTR is currently available in all major cities across South Africa, including Johannesburg, Cape Town, Durban, Pretoria, Port Elizabeth, and Bloemfontein. We're constantly expanding to new areas. Check our coverage map on the homepage to see if we're in your area.

To complete your profile, you'll need: a valid South African ID or passport, a valid driver's license (held for at least 2 years), proof of address (utility bill or bank statement from the last 3 months), and a clear profile photo. Vehicle owners will also need to provide vehicle registration documents.

The minimum rental period is 1 day (24 hours). Some vehicle owners may set longer minimum periods, which will be displayed on the vehicle listing. We also offer hourly rentals for select vehicles in certain areas.

You can arrange to pick up the vehicle directly from the owner at an agreed location, or request delivery to your location (additional fees may apply). Before pickup, both parties will complete a vehicle inspection using our app. Return the vehicle at the agreed time and location, completing another inspection to document the condition.

Our cancellation policy depends on when you cancel: Full refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before pickup, 50% refund if cancelled 24-48 hours before pickup, no refund if cancelled less than 24 hours before pickup. Some listings may have different policies, which will be clearly stated.

Most vehicles come with a daily mileage allowance (typically 200-300km per day). Excess mileage is charged at a per-kilometer rate specified in the listing. Some owners offer unlimited mileage packages for longer rentals. Always check the specific terms on each vehicle listing.

You can list cars, SUVs, bakkies, vans, and luxury vehicles. Vehicles must be less than 15 years old, in good mechanical condition, have valid license and registration, and pass our safety inspection. Motorcycles and commercial vehicles require additional verification.

Earnings depend on your vehicle type, location, and how often you rent it out. On average, vehicle owners earn R8,000 - R15,000 per month. Premium and luxury vehicles can earn significantly more. Use our earnings calculator to estimate your potential income based on your specific vehicle.

You have full control over your vehicle's availability. Use our calendar to block dates when you need your vehicle, set minimum and maximum rental periods, and even specify pickup and return times. You can also enable instant booking or require approval for each request.

A security deposit is held on your card at the time of booking. This is not charged unless there's damage, excessive mileage, or other violations of the rental agreement. The hold is released within 5-7 business days after the rental ends if no issues are reported.

Vehicle owners receive payment within 3-5 business days after the rental is completed. Payments are made via direct bank transfer to your verified bank account. You can track all earnings and pending payouts in your dashboard.

YTR charges a 15% service fee on each booking, which covers payment processing, customer support and platform maintenance. This fee is deducted from the rental amount before payment to the vehicle owner. Renters may see a small service fee added to their booking total.

To delete your account, go to Settings > Account > Delete Account. Note that you cannot delete your account if you have active bookings or pending payments. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. We'll retain certain information as required by law.

After each rental, both the renter and vehicle owner can leave reviews. Reviews are mutual and revealed simultaneously to ensure fairness. You have 14 days to leave a review after a rental ends. Reviews cannot be edited or deleted once submitted, ensuring authenticity.
